Neverland

Last night I had the pleasure of watching Finding Neverland. I had seen it once before but true be told I was much younger and half asleep so couldn’t remember any distinct details for the life of me. It is in essence a magical movie that highlights I think more than anything (more than imagination itself) the power of friendship. It is captivating, endearing and highlights the simplicity of genuine happiness, something I think we over complicate nowadays and just made me smile. What really caught me however was a quote from Dustin Hoffman. I am one of the people who enjoy watching the behind the scenes footage just as much as the movie itself. I love the creative process, the reasoning, the costumes and the personal insight you get into the individuals who in some way have shaped the film/show. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about Hoffman’s statement. He simply said “ always be adult but never become a grown up.” It really struck a chord, so I leave you with that point to ponder as you all venture to Neverland this evening.
