I have been thinking about Interior design quite a lot lately. How I would decorate my own house/ apartment given the opportunity.
I love colour & have always surrounded myself with colour but I would stick with a black and white base and insert hints of dulled yellow. I think I would describe it as modern vintage.
I would love to have a self-made bed head, an open closet with shelving to display my magazine/book collection (with wonderful book ends of course) and would use suitcases to add colour/for storage. With vintage advertisement as wall decor, vintage phone designs but in a modern silver or patent black & an old-school white alarm clock.
Lighting is a must: several floor & table lamps would accompany fairy lights & I would have a dressmakers mannequin to display wonderful costume jewellery and handbags.
It sounds horrid in hindsight but I guarantee you; in my mind it is all kinds of marvelous!
I cannot wait.
PS. A good friend of mine just moved house so I am in the middle of making her a housewarming present & am quite excited about it!
