Cake!

Today Cake has been on my mind. 

Some days I love cake. Others I would prefer cookies or brownies. Given the choice, I will always choose Cheesecake over anything because we have a continuing love affair. 

I do however LOVE cake decorating. 

Perhaps cause my Mum would always make us amazingly adventurous birthday cakes- but I love rustic looking homemade cakes where you can actually taste the love. 

That is why I am forever disappointed in wedding cakes. They each look so generic- perfect yes but personality-less. 

I love messy icing and layer upon layers of sweetness. That is why, I decided that if ever I am to marry I would love to serve individual miniature cakes (of assorted flavors), spliced into layers- iced back together and decorated with love.
