Fridge Staples

Also in GQ this month (cause I am such a gentlemen) there was an article with Nate Berkus interior design extrodinnaire/Oprah sidekick that asked him what essentials he always has in his fridge. Which got me thinking. I admittedly am a snoop. I love the collection of youtube videos and flickr set of 'whats in your bag'. I love how you can tell about people from what they carry, how their bags are organised and if everything in the bag is a blaring shade of Barbie pink. So anyway, because I share a communal fridge with a free for all policy it was interesting to think about what essentials are always in the fridge. Nate had listed Champagne in case unforeseen celebrations errupt and cans of club soda to ensure cocktails are always mixed fresh as year-round necessities. In our fridge you will always find assorted cheeses (we do love our cheese), home grown vegies & a collection of homemade pickles/relishes/jams. Eggs are also a staple as is milk & homemade (so much homemade) yoghurt.

What are your fridge must haves?
This also got me thinking about drinks of choice ( we also have a bottle of Brown Brothers Dolcetto & Syriah chilling in our fridge).
I am quite partial to a sunrise. Non alcoholic wise Lemon Lime & Bitters is a go to but I am still in search of a drink of choice so all suggestions are welcome.
