I know some people are over Oprah. I can understand that, but you have to admit the woman has been a major MAJOR influence in the lives of woman across the world for the past three decades and as much as some don't like to admit it, I think the chance to watch afternoon talk shows is a guilty pleasure we all quite enjoy. I love that she is/ seems self-established, self-fulfilling and understanding. I love that in her 20th Anniversary Collection a solid portion of the footage featured everyday people that had impacted her life- it wasn't just a collection of celebrity friends. I love that her name was originally going to be Orpah. So I thought I would share some of her wonderful quotes today. I realise they may seem corny to some but I really do think if we applied some of these basic principles everyone would be better off.
- You know you are on the road to success if you would do your job, and not be paid for it.
- When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.
- Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.
- So go ahead. Fall down. The world looks different from the ground.
- The biggest adventure you can take is to live the life of your dreams.
- Breathe. Let go. And remind yourself that this very moment is the only one you know you have for sure.
- I believe that every single event in life happens in an opportunity to choose love over fear.
- I don't believe in failure. It is not failure if you enjoyed the process.
- I still have my feet on the ground, I just wear better shoes.
