Oprah

I know some people are over Oprah. I can understand that, but you have to admit the woman has been a major MAJOR influence in the lives of woman across the world for the past three decades and as much as some don't like to admit it, I think the chance to watch afternoon talk shows is a guilty pleasure we all quite enjoy. I love that she is/ seems self-established, self-fulfilling and understanding. I love that in her 20th Anniversary Collection a solid portion of the footage featured everyday people that had impacted her life- it wasn't just a collection of celebrity friends. I love that her name was originally going to be Orpah. So I thought I would share some of her wonderful quotes today. I realise they may seem corny to some but I really do think if we applied some of these basic principles everyone would be better off.

1. You know you are on the road to success if you would do your job, and not be paid for it.
2. When someone shows you who they are, believe them the first time.
3. Lots of people want to ride with you in the limo, but what you want is someone who will take the bus with you when the limo breaks down.
4. So go ahead. Fall down. The world looks different from the ground.
