Photomatics

Math was always a struggle for me. Even though i had two particularly wonderful teachers that never once doubted my abilities, it just never seemed to pay off until the very very end. To this day, they don't know how thankful i am for their continued encouragement and support.

Anyway, Photography and Math aren't two things often paired. Which when you think about it is silly. The symmetry, division and equations of maths could easily be applied and are often essential in any art work including photography. So when i came across Nikki Graziano i could help but think of Mr. Wiffen my senior math teacher and how wonderfully artistic math could be.

Perhaps these works could be used as a learning aid. I would definitely rather see these hung around a math building then formula sheets or the first 100 numerals of pie. Don't you agree?
