Layering

I know fragrances are designed to be layered; i have just never really bothered.
This morning, however my mum walked past and smelt ridiculously good! {more so than normal}
I asked her what changed and she said she had applied a lotion prior to her perfume.
So i am going to buy the lotion to match my fragrance (Miss Dior Cherie) and give it a go. Hopefully it will not be overpowering.
