Just came across this hilarious blog by Michael Hughes. I think so much of traveling and being a tourist can be summarised by the souvenirs you bring home. I think everyone has a particular thing they like to collect- its the hoarder in all of us. Whether it be magnets or key rings or tee shirts. I collect Pennants: those old fashioned flags- they are a quick way to add colour to a wall and run no risk of breakage. Definitely check out the blog (and adjoining Flickr set) if you get a chance.
That said issue 32 or 33 of Frankie had a great great article about American souvenirs. Google it.
